URGENT REQUESTS:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Come share your time, talent and treasures as a volunteer at the food pantry. The Food Resource Center provides emergency food for those in need. Volunteers also help complete food stamp applications and make referrals to local service agencies. Our goal is to help people towards self suffi- ciency by providing temporary help with food and information on com- munity resources. During the fiscal year 2010 – 2011 the Center as- sisted over 40,000 people. Volunteers are needed for client intake, food distribution assistants and delivery drivers. Volunteers commit to one 4 hour shift per week. Training is provided. If you are interested in learning more about the program or volunteering please contact Lisa at (760) 631-4792.

On-Going Ministries -To TEACH:

Catechetical Office weekday help – Tuesday – Friday 12noon-7pm.  Office duties include copying, answer phone calls, prepare lessons, teaching aides, co-teaching, tutoring etc.   Weekend help – assist programs at 9:30 Children’s Mass on Sundays.  Vacation Bible School – helpers needed for planning and running classes. Training is July 11-15 from 9-12noon for English and 6-8pm for Spanish. Contact Susan at 760-945-8000

ON-GOING MINISTRIES -TO SANCTIFY:

Altar Serving:  7:30am Sunday Mass needs servers.  Contact: Cindy Bang at 760-945-8000. Training begins in September contact Deacon Miguel at menriquez@stfrancis-vista.org or 760-945-8000 for details

Hospital and Homebound Eucharistic Ministers Needed:  Ministers visit and/or serve Communion to our sick, elderly, and/or homebound parishioners. For Sundays Contact Edie at sando1@cox.net. For weekdays contact Pat Seeger at 760-726-2061  For Hospital contact Fr Peter at 760-945-8000  – ON-GOING

MINISTRIES -TO Serve:

Drivers: Drivers needed to transport parishioners to and from Mass on Sunday – times vary.  Please call parish office if you are able to help for the Sunday Mass you attend

Altar Cleaning Ministry: Starting after the 8am Mass on 3rd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays to help clean church.  Contact eicallaghan@hotmail.com or 949-632-4049

Catholic Charities Food Pantry – 3 positions. Client Intake – mentoring, processing, and  assisting clients

Food Distribution Assistant – fill orders, restocking shelves, etc.  This position requires standing for up to 3 hours a day and lifting up to 25lbs.

Drivers – pickup ad transport food donations.  Volunteers are required to use their own vehicle (vans, trucks, SUVs suggested)
